Wherein I use my blog to remember things...

Books I must read (unless people convince me otherwise):

Atlas Shrugged -- Ayn Rand
The Sun also Rises -- Hemingway
All the Pretty Horses -- Carmac McCarthy
Love in the time of Cholera -- Gabriel García Márquez
The Mists of Avalon -- Marion Zimmer
Ulysses -- James Joyce
The Things They Carried -- Tim O'Brien
The Fire this Time: Young Activists and the New Feminism -- Vivien Labaton

Anyone got anything to add to this list? (It's not like I need more books to add to my endless "to read" pile.)

Read the Fountainhead before conquering Atlas Shrugged.

Confessions of an Economic Hitman and The Ingenuity Gap if that sort of stuff interests you.

I think you'd enjoy Blindness - truly incredible. Don't watch the movie. *chuckle* And Love in the Time of Cholera is one of my faves, but 100 Years of Solitude might be even better.. *sigh* And I feel you.. I have the same stack of books.
